Working principle of large rotary kiln

The barrel of the large-scale rotary kiln is rolled from steel plates. The barrel is lined with refractory lining and has a specified slope with the horizontal line. It is supported by three wheel belts on each support device. A large ring gear is fixed on the inner cylinder with a tangential spring plate, and a small gear meshes with it below. During normal operation, the main drive motor transmits power to the open gear device through the main reducer to drive the rotary kiln.

Materials enter the rotary kiln for calcination from the kiln tail (the high end of the cylinder). Due to the inclination and slow rotation of the cylinder, the material tumbles in the circumferential direction and moves in the axial direction (from the high end to the low end), continuing to complete its process. Finally, the clinker is generated and enters the cooler for cooling through the kiln head hood. The fuel is sprayed into the kiln from the kiln head, and the waste gas generated by combustion is exchanged with the materials and then exported from the kiln tail.
