For vein gold ore with high arsenic and sulfur content or high carbon content mud, gold-containing sulfide concentrate can be obtained by flotation, and then the flotation concentrate is leached with thiourea to recover gold.
Thiourea method for gold extraction is a new low-toxicity gold extraction process that is improving day by day. Thiourea acid solution has high speed of dissolving gold and silver, low toxicity and easy regeneration. Mineral components such as antimony, arsenic, copper, and sulfur are not sensitive to thiourea gold extraction, but will affect cyanidation gold extraction. Therefore, thiourea leaching can extract gold and silver from gold-bearing mineral ore that is refractory to cyanidation. At the same time, the gold leaching time of thiourea is generally much shorter than that of cyanide leaching.
For the flotation concentrate with high arsenic and sulfur content, after the cyanide tailings are flotated, impurities such as sulfur, iron, and arsenic are enriched into the concentrate to become a refractory high-sulfur and high-arsenic concentrate, which cannot be directly cyanide. During chemical leaching, the flotation gold concentrate can be oxidized and roasted first to remove arsenic and sulfur, so that the calcined sand has a loose structure after roasting, which is more conducive to the leaching of gold and silver. Subsequently, using high acid pretreatment and washing, most of the impurities are dissolved by acid and removed by washing, which ensures the cyanidation leaching rate and effectively enriches the gold grade.
