It is important to keep the internal ventilation of the equipment, because this has a great impact on the production volume of the ball mill. In addition, the air volume inside the equipment needs to be controlled within a reasonable range. Too large or too small cannot meet the requirements. The ball mill is a type of equipment with high working efficiency among grinding equipment. Let's first understand the importance of internal ventilation of the ball mill. The good or bad ventilation condition inside the ball mill directly affects the grinding efficiency. The ventilation function of the ball mill is to discharge the fine powder in the mill in time to avoid affecting the grinding efficiency; second, to reduce the temperature in the mill to avoid clogging of the paste balls in the tail bin of gypsum dehydration. When the moisture content of the material in the ball mill is too high and the mill is poorly ventilated, it is difficult to discharge the water vapor in the mill, which not only adheres to the grate seam, but also reduces the material throughput and flow rate per unit time. At the same time, these grinding bodies will also adhere to the working surface of the lining plate to form a buffer layer due to static electricity when grinding materials, which greatly weakens the impact and crushing function of the grinding body on the material. When the thickness of fine powder adhered to the surface of the lining plate reaches 1MM, the impact force of the grinding body on the material can be reduced to one-third of that when there is no material, which will lead to a decrease in mill output and an increase in grinding power consumption. For energy-saving ball mills with poor internal ventilation, a relatively simple solution is to add an axial flow fan to the upper part of the air extraction cylinder at the end of the mill, and at the same time seal and plug the rotary screen, discharge chute and other parts of the mill to prevent the mill from short-circuiting due to air leakage. In this way, the internal ventilation of the mill is smooth, and the problem of dust emission from the grinding head is completely solved.

 

Similarly, the air locking system must be well done, otherwise, the fan wind will be directly drawn away from the discharge port, forming a ventilation short circuit, and there will be little wind in the mill. Secondly, we need to understand that it is also very important to control the wind speed inside the equipment. Regarding the selection of wind speed inside the mill, generally speaking, natural ventilation v-0.4 m/s, strong ventilation v=0.7 m/s. Some foreign factories believe that the wind speed v of strong ventilation should be 0.9-1.0 m/s. However, it can be seen from Figure 3-262 that the output no longer increases when v=0.7 m/s, so v=0.7 m/s can be considered as the optimal wind speed.

 

In short, maintaining internal ventilation and controlling wind speed of the ball mill are necessary conditions to ensure the high-efficiency operation of the equipment, and neither can be missing.
