The installation of the ball mill inlet hopper is an important part of the ball mill installation. Before installation, the connecting flange surface should be cleaned and the bolts should be tightened evenly. The gaskets should be well connected to prevent leakage. The chassis should be horizontal, the fixed bracket should be firm and vertical, and the inlet and outlet flanges should be horizontal. The eccentricity between the hopper and the cylinder should not exceed 2mm. The radial clearance between the end of the short tube and the inner sleeve of the hollow shaft should be equal on both sides, the upper part should be slightly larger than the lower part, the thrust end should have an axial clearance of 3mm, and the bearing end should have an axial clearance of less than 20mm.
After the lubrication system is assembled, it should be tested. The test pressure of the cooling water pipeline at each location should not be less than 0.45Mpa, and it is required that there is no leakage within 30min; the test pressure of the high-pressure pipeline should not be lower than the high-pressure rated pressure, and the pressure test should be 10min. The return oil pipeline must be inclined toward the oil tank, and its slope should not be less than 1:40.
After the lubricating oil pipeline is installed, the pipeline oil circulation is carried out. When the oil circulates, the oil does not pass through the bearing. A bypass pipe is temporarily installed. A filter with a hole of 0.5-0.7 is installed on the return oil main pipe near the oil tank. The oil circulates until there is no debris on the filter. The circulating oil is provided by the owner. After the oil circulation is completed, the debris in the oil tank is cleared and new lubricating oil is replaced. A filter with a hole of 0.3mm is installed on the bearing inlet oil pipe to circulate the oil through the bearing. The oil volume is adjusted during the circulation so that the shaft neck is fully and evenly covered with oil. The shaft seals of each bearing must not leak oil.
The slow drive device of the ball mill is installed based on the pinion shaft group. The slow drive device is hoisted in place with a 16t crane in the workshop and installed strictly according to the installation and use instructions of the slow drive device. After installation, the handle should move flexibly. Check the concentricity of the slow drive shaft and the pinion shaft clutch (required to be <0.5mm) and the shaft head clearance.
