In the copper ore beneficiation process, the selection of flotation machines directly affects production efficiency and concentrate grade. The mainstream copper ore flotation machines on the market include SF, XJK, KYF, XCF and JJF, etc. Different models are suitable for beneficiation plants of different sizes and operation requirements.

 

For large and medium-sized copper ore beneficiation plants, SF flotation machines are often used for roughing and scavenging operations due to their large processing capacity (5-20m³/min) and good slurry circulation effect. This model adopts a double-blade impeller design to reduce coarse sand precipitation, and is equipped with a liquid level automatic control device to optimize the scraping effect. If the ore properties are complex or enhanced beneficiation is required, it can be matched with a KYF aerated stirring flotation machine, which achieves a more stable bubble distribution through an external aeration system.

For small and medium-sized beneficiation plants, it is recommended to use a combination of JJF (suction trough) and BF (direct current trough) flotation machines. This combined unit can efficiently complete scavenging and beneficiation without the need for additional foam pumps, reducing equipment investment costs. As a traditional mechanical stirring equipment, XJK flotation machine is suitable for the separation of polymetallic ores such as copper, lead and zinc, but its processing capacity is relatively small.

 

When selecting the type, the characteristics of the ore should also be considered: for difficult-to-separate ores, a model with a large aeration volume (such as XCF type) should be preferred, while for simple sulfide ores, mechanical stirring equipment with low energy consumption can be selected. In addition, the number of flotation machines can be determined by comprehensive calculation of slurry volume, flotation time and effective volume coefficient.

 

In summary, copper ore flotation needs to flexibly select the model according to the production scale, ore properties and operation stage, and pay attention to the coordinated configuration between equipment to achieve the best separation effect and economic benefits.
