Gold ore beneficiation is a key process in gold production, which extracts gold from raw ore through physical and chemical methods. The selection of processing technology mainly depends on ore type, gold occurrence state and particle size. Common beneficiation processes include gravity separation, flotation, cyanide leaching and combined processes.
The whole production flow includes crushing, grinding, separation and refining. Raw ore is crushed and ground to a reasonable fineness, usually about 200 mesh, so that gold particles can be fully dissociated from gangue minerals. Adequate grinding creates favorable conditions for effective separation and high recovery rate.

Gravity separation is suitable for coarse-grained free gold ore. It separates minerals by density difference without chemical reagents, featuring low cost and simple operation. It is often used as pre-concentration to remove gangue in advance. Flotation is widely applied in sulfide-bearing gold ore. By adding collectors and modifiers, gold-bearing minerals are made hydrophobic and attached to bubbles, so as to obtain high-grade gold concentrate.
Cyanide leaching remains the main extraction technology for fine-grained and oxidized gold ore. CIP and CIL processes integrate leaching and activated carbon adsorption, which greatly improve overall efficiency. Heap leaching is suitable for low-grade oxide ore with low investment and flexible operation.

With the gradual complexity of gold ore resources, combined processes have become the development trend. Green technologies such as non-cyanide leaching and bioleaching are gradually promoted to reduce environmental impact. In actual production, process optimization, equipment upgrading and standardized tailings treatment are crucial to realize efficient, economic and environmentally friendly production.
In general, gold ore beneficiation is a systematic and professional project. The continuous innovation of technology promotes the industry to develop in the direction of high efficiency, energy conservation and sustainability, and provides a strong guarantee for the rational development and utilization of gold resources.
